Bio

MaliQ is a native of Pennsylvania who started his dance training in Pittsburgh. He went on to Juilliard to graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree under the direction of Lawrence Rhodes, in May of 2017. At Juilliard, he worked with the choreographers Takehiro Ueyama, Loni Landon, Zvi Gotheiner, Matthew Neenan, and Gentian Doda. He has learned works by Martha Graham, Paul Taylor, and Nacho Duato. Since school Malik has danced with The Limón Dance Company, Radio City Christmas Spectacular, National Dance Company of Wales, Lydia Johnson Dance, and Mark Morris Dance Group. During this time Malik has done works by José Limón, Caroline Finn, Yin Yue, Caitlin Javech, Lydia Johnson, and Mark Morris among many others.
